Recover Entire PC functionality
Hello Acronis,
I have Acronis 2020 installed on my computer and perform Daily Images of my machine. I updated Office 2019 today and now my computer is behaving strangely.
I would like to revert my system including the Operating System and Office 2019 to my last image's state.
Do I simply click "Recover Now" (see the attached Screen shot) and my entire HardDrive will be erased including the Operating System and will be replaced with the current Image from this morning?
Thank you

Thanks for your reply Steve.
I have 1 Drive on my Machine I believe. See attached Screen shots. I have a Solid State HD.
Do you still recommend booting from the Acronis Rescue Media Steve or is it safe to Recover from within Windows?
Thank you

Actually you already answered my Question.
"Personally, I would strongly recommend only doing any OS type Recovery by booting from the Acronis Rescue Media"

Steve thanks again for your detailed response.
How reliable is ATI 2020 Recovery if I follow all the steps correctly? Above 98%?
I have recovered my machine in the past, 2-3 times with ATI 2014 using the Bootable media and prior to that with Norton Ghost with success. However, the stakes are higher now. I'm currently living on an Island in South East Asia until December and if my Machine doesn't boot / recover I will be in a huge predicament.
Right now the damage from the Office Update is primarily an annoyance specifically with MS Access. I can live with that until December.
On the other hand if the ATI Recovery works it would be a huge Win. My new machine would be back to its efficient state and I would feel confident knowing ATI Recovery has my back for future events such as this. Trying to weigh the Pros and Cons.
Thanks

If you need a 100% guarantee of a successful recovery without any downside, then I would recommend investing in a spare disk drive for your computer before proceeding.
With a spare drive, the process would be to remove the current working drive (with Office issues) and replace it by the spare drive, then recover your backup to that spare drive using the Acronis Rescue Media safe in the knowledge that your original drive is tucked away safely and can be replaced again if needed to go back to your start point.
My own experience of using ATI recovery have been mainly positive and successful but this has to be taken in the context of how I use it, which is often when dealing with problem PC's brought to me to be 'fixed' and which often do not have any backup at all, so I am starting at a disadvantage.
