checking backup archive - disable

Thread needs solution

Using Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server with a QNAP TS-809U-RP
build 10.0.12497

Is their a way to turn off the "checking backup archive" when working with the vaults?

Since we have a large number of images, this checker slows things down.
When you connect to a vault, it wants to refrsh the archive names, and then it wants to check the backup archive.

I just want to start the backup and not have to wait for the checker.

It seems like this process was quicker in the older versions.

Hello Sven!

Thank you for finding time to open the thread regarding this question, I will be glad to help you!

You can definitely turn of the validation. It's one of the additional options in the backup plan. Just uncheck the box, and the validation will be canceled.

Please see more details in the User's Guide, Chapter 6.2.11 Archive validation, p.212.

That did not help, this in in regards to doing a system restore.
Please see attached screenshot from first post.

I thought this was an issue because of the Linux based storage device, however it also manifests itself with a windows storage device.
It also appears when I do a manual backup.

for some reason, it takes a long time to load the archive names.
In this recent example, there are not many image files in the folder.

It justs says "loading .. "when I point to the vault.
