Differential backups are archiving splitting but archiving splitting is not enabled!

Thread needs solution

I am testing some different backups. Maybe I should first start off with what we would like to do with Acronis 10:

Right now we currently backup and go to our clients sites and swap out hard drives. So everyone is on a rotation schedule. The problem with this is it is a lot of drive time that we would like to cut out if possible.

So what we would like to do is every couple months go around to each client after it has done a full backup. Bring that full backup back to our place and place on our FTP server (so we are not trying to upload full backups over the WAN). Now once we have that FTP server we would like to just do differentials every week (and possibly incrementals every day). We just want those uploaded offsite since they will be smaller in size.

Is Acronis capable of doing something like this? Also possibly wiping out the incrementals after each week differential?

Anyways I just setup a plain-o differential backup. On the first time it runs it creates the full backup. The problem I'm noticing is it seems to be splitting the backups into 2gb sizes. It is doing this even when archiving splitting is not set (set to automatic). Is this normal? How can I change this where it is just one file?

...Backup split is not an issue, when backing up via FTP Acronis True Echo Server for Windows automatically splits backup archives to 2 GB volumes.

I guess that it's the same for ABR. Yes. Also see this http://forum.acronis.com/forum/10844 - ..."your initial full backup should be split into 2 GB parts using Backup Options"
