When Acronis Secure Zone is full
Hello everybody,
I have a question.I have schedule automatic back up my disks to secure zone. I wanna an easy thing. If the secure zone is full, the program delete old archives for example, I had 5 archives and at the end the secure zone is full. If the program start to back up, it delete first archive and back up 6th archive. Is it possible?
If there is anybody to help me, I will be very pleased...
Thank you,

Hi,
I currently have an Acronis Secure Zone set up on a 1Tb hard drive in my desktop. If I tell it to do a full backup to it, it fails saying there is not enough space. I thought it was supposed to manage the backups on the drive itself, deleting old full backups if there was not enough space?
I've upgraded to a newer version and rebuilt my machine so will try it again, but at the moment it won't let me select the Secure zone as a target as it says there is not enough space. Its a new backup so perhaps that is why (I assume it can only manage its own backups within the secure zone?)
thanks,
Stephen

Hello Stephen,
Thank you for your message. I will do my best to help you for this issue.
In order for me to understand this problem, I would really appreciate if you can send me a series of screenshots that show your backup settings in detail. Also, please provide me with this report.
If you have additional questions, please let me know.
Thank you.

Have attached an example of what i'm getting.
I'm assuming the way around this will be to delete/move the backups from previous install on the secure zone and start over. The original problem was the secure zone filling up and it not cleaning up the old backups automatically. Would this possibly be caused by more than one backup targeting the secure zone?
thanks,
Stephen

If you installed a new version of ATI, most likely it won't see the previous backups and cannot foresee there is a possibility to clean them up to make space.
Also, ATI needs to be able to do a new full backup *before* erasing the older one if there is only one existing backup there.
Use "browse" backup to reimport each archive file into ATI form the ASZ. Delete (not remove) the archive you don't need from ATI. THis will erase the corresponding backup archive (s).
Set up your new backup...
I don't know how ATI behaves if 2 different backups compete for the ASZ space. I am guessing it tries to manage them separately. Meaning it won't try to delete the archives of backup B to make space for a new version of A.
