TI 2011. Is it necessary to manually stop Non-Stop backup before imaging the C: drive?

Thread needs solution

Is it necessary to manually stop Non-Stop backup (It is pointed at an internal HDD) before imaging the C: drive to an external USB HDD? Also what to do if an image is pointed at the same drive as Non-Stop backup is.

Hey Peter,

This combination has been working fine in my testing. You can have regular images done as non-stop backup is running, and you can store them on the same disk. In fact, I recommend you continue doing full disk images on top of continuous backups, in particular for your system disk. You cannot validate non-stop backups.

Thank you Pat, that has cleared that up for me, now, all I have to do is get to the bottom of my USB 3.0 external drive dropping out before the image completes. Not a lover of the new UI, considering returning to 2010.
