What is KDD and why is it blacklisted on my iMac by Active Protection and not on my pc?
Just wondering what is KDD, purpose. As this is part of the WD Discovery, I will post it to WD support groups too

Hi Steve,
Sorry that it's been almost a year. I'm still having the same issue. These are the various steps that I took:
First:
On the iMac, I made sure that WD Discovery had full access.
In Acronis I added WD Discovery and WDDesktop to protection exclusions
In BitDefender for Mac I added the above two into the privacy and application access and allowed
Second
Did a search on the iMac for "kdd" as there was no program by this name in the application folder or in launchpad. Thats where I found a folder full of kdd_crash logs with the error operation not permitted
In this resources folder I found kdd unix exec, kdd.sh, run_kdd.sh. I then added these in security and privacy for full disc access, None of these files could be added to the exclusion or application access in either Acronis or BitDefender as they are hidden within the WDDesktop App itself. So I don't know how to make this operation permitted
I then unchecked them under full access.
Thank you in advance for any further ideas or suggestions

I would suggest that you exclude the parent folder for the WD utilities as a possible solution.
