ATIH 2011 W7 Integration with W7 Action Center
Hi,
I like that Acronis has taken the step to try to integrate True Image 2011 with W7 more fully including the W7 action center.
I've noted in other threads some issues with that integration (specifically changing the appearance and not disabling properly if the user tries to do so) but I'm not sure if an issue I'm seeing has been flagged.
I have a full system backup via the nonstop backup procedure (including all partitions) that has completed the initial full backup once and is now (hopefully!) running away in the background scanning for changes and backing them up as I go. However, in W7's Action Center, I am still getting the warning "Your files are not being backed up" and urging me to set up a backup. With the integration, shouldn't W7's Action Center know that I have such a backup set in TI2011 and cease to prompt me for one?
Also, when I click on Backup and Restore from the "See also" section of the main window warning me that I haven't set up a backup, or from the W7 control panel, it lists the nonstop backup *job* under "My Backups" but lists it as "not backed up yet" and the size as 0 bytes. Even though it is an ongoing backup process, once an nsb has completed its initial full backup, shouldn't the Backup and Restore window list the job as having been done (and that it's active?) rather than giving the impression that it's not been done and that there's an issue for the user to deal with?
Think that the integration into Action Center could be more reassuring for the user in the same way that most firewalls and av apps are - it should be telling me I'm covered by my TI2011 nsb, not telling me that I've no backup system in place and prompting me for one.
Not sure if this behaviour is the same for other backup methods in TI2011 or just the NSB one.

I'm not sure, but I think the backup flag only looks for disk or system images, not NSB only, will check though.
In Timeline Explorer are you able to find and view your NSB backups?

Build 6696 here and I am seeing the same issue.
I had initially used the Disk an Part BU while using the trial. Then I binned those and started a Non-Stop Backup. Now I have the warning about not having a BU whereas I did not before. I have activated the product but have seen no change in the behaviour. A real pain.
I can see my BU's in timeline explorer. So they are there.

I should also add that unlike the behaviour you see in the "Backup and Restore" window under "see also". I do see a 'good' backup with 80GB (in my case) being shown. No message about it not being backed up.

Mark,
I found discrepancies between what you see in the integrated control panel, and the ATI UI. So I decided to disable that integration and make sure the Window backup remains functional.

I also have an issue with the TIH 2011 Windows 7 integration with the Backup & Restore Control Panel applet. I described my issues with it in another thread, but have received no responses. Mine doesn't say anything about not having a backup. It just doesn't say anything at all, as you can see in my screenshot in that thread. I do partition backups.
