OS disk change
Win 10 x64 is installed onto a 1 TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 SSD in an Asus Z170 motherboard. I am building a new computer and would like to use the M.2 drive for this Z490 motherboard (as storage, not to boot from). The Z170 motherboard also has a 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD.
What is the best way to install the Win 10 OS on the Crucial SSD so that the M.2 can be removed?
The plan is to shut down the computer, remove the M.2 drive, boot to Acronis Media, and then restore the full disk backup to the Crucial SSD.
Will the Crucial SSD automatically be recognized as the C drive?
Thank you.

Okay, that worked.
Although, I used Acronis Disk Director to Clean up and then initialize the Crucial 1 TB SSD before restoring the OS.
C was automatically assigned to the boot drive.
