SSD: Backup and Restore. Questions.

Thread needs solution

I just purchased a RunCore ProV 240gb SSD.

Computer i7 950 running Windows 7 64 Ultimate.

Although RunCore pre-installs Acronis on their drive, I used my 2010 Acronis boot cd (always run cd) to clone the previous WD Raptor 150 gb drive (drive C, one volume, no partitions).

Perfect. Took 10 minutes from start to booting the RunCore. Windows index from 5.9 to 7.7.

(Left the Raptor in the machine unconnected, just in case.)

Then made an image of RunCore using Acronis boot cd (with verification).

NOW QUESTION:
Should my system crash, can I simply restore from the image to the SSD as I had successfully to the Raptor?

In other words, is there anything special about restoring to a SSD??

Thanks in advance.

Hi Richard,

There is no problem restoring to a SSD using ATI 2011. I do it often. The alignment is preserved.
