DEVS: Please add an easier way to clean Acronis Secure Zone.

Thread needs solution

Wow, these forums are wild, I have no idea where to post!  I bought Acronis True Image a while ago, it's since been upgraded to Acronis Cyber Protect, so I'm not sure if I'm in the right place or not.

Anyway, I've got [Options]->[Advanced]->[Error Handling]-> "When not enough space in the ASZ, delete the oldest backup" enabled on all of my backups, unfortunately it seems as though Acronis isn't deleting the oldest backups because I've run out of space in Acronis Secure Zone.

I also can't go in and delete the backups manually, through Windows explorer.

There also isn't a "Clean up versions..." option for the backups.

There also isn't a "Clean up ASZ..." option anywhere.

So yeah, that's all, if you could add in a way to clean up and maintain the Acronis Secure Zone that would be really fantastic!  Thanks for your time!

Kent, I have to confess that I gave up using the ASZ many years ago for similar reasons as you have listed above, along with the fact that it is essentially a slightly modified FAT32 partition with the limitations of that file system for file sizes.

I find it easier to create my own NTFS storage partition where needed with the advantage that this can be really secured by encrypting with BitLocker if needed, whilst still retaining full control and access to manage backups!

I am surprised that Acronis still offer the option of ASZ in the latest versions of ATI & ACPHO.

Hello Kent,

I've passed your feedback to the product team, however should note that the chances of the Acronis Secure Zone's development are very weak..
