Thread needs solution

I keep getting this issue backing up to a DLink DNS 323. I have deleted task and associated backups, then rebuilt the task. It works for a while then fails again after a few backups. I run a daily backup set to keep the last 5 files and do an incremental/full every other day. The issue occurs when it attempts to consolidate the backup images. I am running Home 2010 with the latest service pack. Log attached. The process failed on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 9th of April.

I can attach the info file you want but would rather not publish that info to the world. Can I send that info to an email address?

thanks,
Steve

Hello Steve!

Thank you for finding time to open the thread regarding this issue, I will be glad to help you.

According to the log you've kindly provided, you're using the mapped drive instead a UNC path when specifying the target location. Please note that it's strongly recommended to use the UNC path instead of the mapped drive, as when you map a drive, it becomes mapped only under your Windows account. The Acronis product runs its tasks using the system account and so it is sometimes impossible to locate your mapped drive (especially when you are logged off). You can find more details here.

Please use the UNC path (it should look like \\ip address\folder name). Should the problem remain, please gather Acronis Info with Wireshark logs, submit a case with the information attached, and let us know it's number.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
