Disk Director 11 copy disc boot failure

Thread needs solution

I used Acronis DD 11 to copy a Windows 7 boot partition to a new Acronis formated 500GB Sata drive. I created a 150GB partition, and the copy went fine. I now try to start the laptop, and Windows will start, I get preparing Desktop but then I get just a generic background, and a statement in the corner that shows the windows 7, build number and that the version isn't genuine windows. It is, and was activated, but now when I look at the processes, only bare minimum processes are running.

I have tried startup repair, rebuilding BCD, removing and reconstructing BCD, all to no avail. I want to try here before I give up, wipe the disc clean and start from scratch.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I think you post might do better in the Disk Director Forum and not the ABR forum. I don't thing Disk Director was made for cloning OS though.
I have done what you describe many times with the Acronis True Image Home and it works fine. Although some products did need to be re-activated on Windows 7, it does work. On windows XP... True Image home works flawlessly.
