Does Acronis BootCD, DiskDirector etc work on virtual machines (Virtual box) I can't get it to work

Thread needs solution

I have the image mounted it loads fine, With Acronis true image 2011 bootcd it loads to GUI but I can't click on recovery or use the mouse

With Acronis backup and recovery bootcd it again loads I click on the program to boot then nothing apart from black screen ?

I need to test my backed up image

Edit: Do I need the software installed on the guest machine before being able to use the bootcds ? I don't have them installed on guest but I do on host

Edit: I now have the disc in the physical ROM drive (It's working) but I can't find my image file.. I setup a home network between my laptop and desktop to save a back up image of the laptop to my desktop hard disk.

Any idea's how I can access my hard drives from with-in Oracle virtual box. I did try setting it up to home network but couldn't get it working

It's a tib file and VB doesn't support drag and drop. I'm a beginner user on both Acronis and Virtual machines.

If you boot the VM with bootcd, it doesn't matter if it is installed in the VM - it is supposed to work even with empty unpartitioned disk. You may try to set up 'bridged' mode for network in the VM, so that VM will be exposed to the same physical network connection as the host, or create another virtual disk, mount it on the host, copy .tib files there, unmount, and then use this disk as the second disk for the VM.
