Problems after upgrading from TIH 2010_7046_s_nl to TIH 2010_7060_s_nl

Thread needs solution

I have been using True Image Home for the past 9 or 10 months without any problems. Last week when I was going to backup my entire computer. I received a mentioning from ACRONIS that there was a update available. I updated my program and from this moment on I could not run ACRONIS anymore, a message appeared on the screen saying:
Runtime Error! Program:C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageMonitor.exe abnormal program termination
I de- installed the new version and re – installed the old one It said after this that Acronis was not installed I tried everything ant it looks like the program is installing O.K. but it said at the end. Installation was interrupted before Acronis True Image Home could be installed. You have to run Setup again
Is there anybody who can help me with this problem?
Your help would be highly appreciated.

If it were me, what I would do would be to
.. use a recent prior backup of my Drive C and restore Drive C it back to when 7046 was installed.
.. uninstall 7046
.. download 7060 from your registration account.
.. reinstall 7060

If you have some more current data, be sure and make a copy before you restore over it.

Thanks GroverH for the quick answer
But I can't restore from the last update because ACRONIS doesn't work.

You can download a bootable imabe from your account, maybe? You just need your license number to register your copy on Acronis.com. This will enable you to get the ISO. You can use this ISO to burn to disk directly, or to produce a bootable USB.

Thank both of you guy's for the answer to this problem.
I was feeling so stupid, You helped to point my face in the right direction. I had no idea I could also restore a single file from the bootable disk.
I thought al the time I had to backup my full C disk.
This is what I did: Closed the computer, put in the systembackup disk Booted from the disk and choose for Acronis backup.
Switched to the latest backup file and restored the old file (C:\Programfiles\Acronis).
Downloaded the update 2010_7060_s_nl Installed it and my problems are over.
Thanks guys I just needed a virtual kick in the ......
