Why Can't I Upgrade Past Build 6597?

Thread needs solution

ATIH 2011 said there was an update available today and I installed it. My version is now Update 1 (build 6597) which I assumed would be the latest until I checked online and found out otherwise. Now I cannot get 6868 installed not matter what I do. I have downloaded 6868, but when it starts to install it says I have the latest version and it will go no further. I have tried to repair the installation, but that did not work. I clicked under Help Check For Updates and it said I am using the latest version.

Is there an issue with the Acronis servers saying 6597 is the latest build? Do I have to uninstall the program? Is it just my computer?

The problem seems very strange to me. My license is purchased and registered.

Try to uninstall ATi from your computer. If you have the Plus Pack, uninstall the Plus Pack (it shows under the letter P in the control panel, not A).
Reboot and reinstall.
If this doesn't solve it, let us know. There is a probably a key in the registry that is not updating correctly.

I did uninstall, then reinstalled it. It worked, but now I will have to create my backups again.

It must be something on my computer.

You know, there are many users who have had issues updating ATI in place. In my case, once, the update stopped a chain of backups and started a new one. I don't know why.
So don't worry, your computer is probably fine. If you have successfully installed the new update, I recommend you start new tasks/chains.
