Backup file does not tuncate temporary name.

Thread needs solution

The file name should be MyBackup.tib but the finished name is MyBackup.tib_FB37F84B-AC29-475D-8E8E-BF2FBC32DDE8.tib The same as the intermediate file. This is something new and does not occur with other backups. The file name is wrong also. I requested it be named "Data" and not "MyBackup". Any guess what is happening here?I have deleted and reinstalled with the same result. Thanks.

I've read 'Similar Content' in left box. It is useful enough. Mostly clear out the old and create new backup. It is a glitch... cause unknown. Check if all the options are set correctly. I'd be glad for more info.

You have a task that uses auto-consolidation, and the consolidation is failing. Consolidation requires a lot of space since the backups files that are consolidated are first copied to temporary files, then manipulated, then the original files are erased and the new temporary files are renamed.

Delete your backup and reset your task. Beware of the requirements for auto-consolidation. If you can, don't use it. Just ask Acronis True Image (ATI) to keep only a limited number of backup (chains).

To have your file name match your task name, you have to click on destination, choose browse, navigate and open the folder you want to store your file into using the left navigation panel, then you can type the name of your tib file in the box. When you click OK, the task will have the name of the TIB file. I recommend you don't change it. Keep the name simple.
