Build 6868 and bootable medium

Thread needs solution

Just installed the new build.
Is it necessary to make a new bootable medium for the new update or is the one
created for Build 6857 still valid?

What product are you running? ABR10 should be around Build: 12497 and ABR11 should be around build: 17217 at the moment? If you are not talking bout an ABR (Acronis Backup and Recovery) product I would suggest checking the forum you are posting this question in as it might be the incorrect section perhaps?

Generally with Acronis products if the boot CD is working and detecting your HDD's, NIC, USB..etc..etc.. There is no need to update to the latest boot CD and the older builds can restore your images just fine. Of cause I would always suggest booting your system with a boot CD when possible and performing a verify of your image file (to ensure it can read the image ok via the network, USB media..etc..etc) and also check your boot HDD's are detected 100% as expected. As if you do ever run into issues your system you want to ensure you are ready to perform a recovery and not have to run around trying to fix things that should have been tested prior to the system failure.

You can still use the older BootCD but the new one probably has a few "improvements" and for the price of a CD-R, why not burn one? The downloadable iso from the website also appears to be a diff file for 6868.

As is always recommended, test the bootcd to ensure it recognizes all your drives.
