True Image Home 2010 Nonstop Backup takes 2 GB RAM!

Thread needs solution

afcdpsrv.exe takes 2 GB of physical RAM and slows down my computer very much!

Specs:

  • TI Home 2010 13.0.0.5055
  • OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit SP2
  • 4 GB RAM
  • CPU: Core Duo E6850 3.00 GHz

I clicked on Stop in the Nonstop backup tray-menu but it did not react - it is still active (info from balloon info-tip when moving the mouse over the tray-icon). And now the tray-menu even doesn't come up.

In the last days afcdpsrv.exe crashed several times.

This program is really unusable.

Hello Peter,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

In order to investigate the issue I would recommend you open a new support case using the following link http://www.acronis.com/support/index.html  and attach the following diagnostic information:

- Reproduce the problem (application crash);

- Do not close the "Application has stopped working" window;

- Run Task Manager (press Ctrl-Shift-Esc buttons);

- Go to "Processes" tab and right-click on the crashed process;

- Select "Create Dump File" item from the menu;

- Pick up the .DMP file created and send it to us;

- Open Start->Run (or press Windows-R buttons) type "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive" string without quotes and hit Enter key

- After that you will see a folder (or a few folders), the name of which starts with "Report"

- Please send us Report.wer file from the last created folder

Please note that you may add the two collected files into rar or zip archive file.

Could you please also do the following:

- Open Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information;

- Choose the "Save" option in the "File" menu (or "Action" menu under Windows 2000), enter the "File name" and set the field "Save as type" to "System Information File (*.NFO)";

- Send us the saved file.
