True Image not giving me the correct info during incremental backups
Hello
I started using True Image 2011 about a week ago. I have created a file backup of some files on my storage drive, with the backup situated on a local NAS (100mbt).
The initial backup went well, although it might have been a bit slow. It took about 12 hours to backup roughly 400GB of data (I don't know what is a "good" time to complete such a transfer).
However, I have set incremental backups for every day, and I am having trouble figuring out what stage True Image is actually at. On the face of it, it looks like it has hung or is being very very slow (see image 1). At one point it even told me it would take 7 days and as I type the icon in my system tray is at 1%.
However, when I check the log, True Image says that it has finished the incremental backup and is now at the validation stage (I validate after every backup) (see image 2).
So I was looking for advice as to what stage True Image actually is at and whether this "hanging" is common, and whether validations of large backups and incremental backups takes a really long time and therefore I should not bother validating every time I backup.
System specs:
Windows 7 x64
Core i5 sandy bridge on P67 chipset
Only backup program installed.
Backing up to D-Link DNS320 NAS onto 2*2TB drives arranged in Raid1.
Thanks for your help in advance.
