Blue Screen when running backup - Differential in a Version Chain Scheme - Worked fine before!

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I am trying to run a backup in my "Version Chain" backup scheme that I have setup for my hard drive (the backup is called "desktop)

I've had it running on a weekly schedule and when I try and run the "desktop(2)3" backup, it is starting the backup and getting to about "3 minutes remaining" and then my system will freeze, I get a blue screen, and the computer restarts.

Unfortunately it goes too fast for me to catch the text on the blue screen.

I have my acronis system report attached.

Is there anyone who can help with this?

Thanks,
Todd

In System Properties, click on Start and Recovery, uncheck automatically restart, and choose a minidump.
Try your backup again and see what the blue screen says.

Anyway, the first thing to try is to repair install ATI (relaunch the installer and choose repair install).

If you still have the problem, I suspect a driver, maybe Intel Rapid Storage Technology (if you have it), is the cause.
A way to test this, is to disable all non-microsoft services except Acronis ones and start up items, except Acronis ones, and try again.

If this solves the proble, you can enable the items one after the other and identify the culprit.

Otherwise, you will have to inspect the minidump. Upon reboot, check if you have a Minidump file. Google how to read them (you have to download some huge debugging file, but it is pretty easy to use the console to inspect the minidump. This will tell us what is causing the blue screen.
