ATIH 2011 - sudden change of behaviour

Thread needs solution

Win XP Pro SP3 with ATIH 2011 Build 6868 backing up to a Seagate external HDD

Several days ago, ATIH started behaving strangely -

1. On opening, the list of backups was in even more jumbled order than usual. The "My backups" link did not respond to clicking, so I could not re-order the list. Previously, I could re-order the list, but it did not stick beyond the current session, but that's another story.

2. All the backups in the list displayed as "Not backed up yet" and "Total 0 bytes", which, of course, was nonsense.

3. The current backup task was available and seemed to work correctly when I clicked on the button to start the backup. At conclusion, it indicated in the green band that the backup had completed successfully, even though the display "Not backed up yet" and "Total 0 bytes" remained. I checked the .tib file in Windows Explorer and it was the expected size, so it does seem that the backup was successful.

The same behaviour has persisted over the last few days. Any suggestions??

David,

It looks like somehow the ATI database has been corrupted or reset. The best thing to do is:
- move the TIB files you want to keep to another directory,
- launch ATI and export the backup settings of the task(s) you want to keep active.
- delete each backup task from ATI. ATI will complain some files could not be deleted (the TIB files), insist. ATI may crash, insist.
- uninstall ATI,
- reboot,
- reinstall ATI.
- import your backup settings back.

Thanks for your prompt response. I have followed your advice and it seems to have resolved the problem.
