Installed True Image Home 2012
I just finished installing the above True Image version.
Some observations:
- flawless install.
- easy to understand interface (unlike Home 2011).
- just the current serial number required to install (no having
to look up the previous number).
- very easy to understand.
The problem I'm still having is, when the program starts, a window pops up with something to the effect: "Running out of disk space. Retry Ignore" If I select "Ignore" and press "Run" the backup starts and runs normally, however, this means I cannot schedule a backup as I must manually press "Ignore and Run". If I could solve this one problem I would call this 2012 version great.

I have installed 2011 Home plus Plus Pack.
1. In order to install 2012 do I need to uninstall 2011?
2. Will 2012 read my 2011 backups?
3. Is their a major difference for a home user who basically does 2 scheduled backups a month .

Charles,
1. You will have to uninstall the Plus Pack, it would also be an idea to uninstall 2011 as well and reboot before installing 2012. You can export your 2011 tasks, which should be importable by 2012.
2. Yes.
3. If you need access to large terabyte drives (3TB and larger), improved NSB, sync and a slightly improved interface, then you should consider upgrading.

Charles,
From my perspective, if your backup strategy is working with 2011, stick with it while 2012 gets more stable over the few next build releases.
IMO the most compelling feature is the support of GPT disks.
The 2012 sync feature is very basic and requires ATI to be installed everywhere! Windows LiveMesh/Synctoy does the same thing for free, Syncback does feature-rich replication/backup free or for a fee.
2012 is supposed to fix a variety of issues 2011 had, but time will prove this in this forum.

If what you are using now works for you, I'd say stick with it, especially while ati2012 bugs are still being worked out. RE you other questions, yes, you should uninstall ATI2011 and the Plus Pack both befor trying to install ati2012.
You might be able to export/import your existing tasks but I found I had to edit them and fiddle -- it was easier to jsut make new tasks, which is usually the case with ATI.
ati2012 should be able to read bckups from ati8, ati9, ati10, ati11, ati2009, ati2010, ati2011, and ati2012. This has been posted on the website:
