can I clone an EISA partition?

Thread needs solution

I want to transfer the whole of the contents of a 30Gb hard drive to a new 300Gb hard drive, including the EISA partition which holds the recovery information. CanI do that with Acronis True Image Home, please? Will it still work if I ever need to use the recovery option by pressing certain keys?
I looked in the guides but did not find this topic

It depends. If you have activated the Acronis startup recovery manager and your computer uses F11 to launch into the recovery partition, you have lost that feature.

If your recovery partition is still working, you can create an all-partition disk and partition backup and recover it onto your new disk and you will be able to recover your functionality.

That said, a recovery partition is a brutal way of recovering a computer: it erases everything on the user partitions including program, settings and content.

With Acronis you don't need to do that any longer: Acronis will let you produce regular backups of your entire system disk. In the case where you would have to use the recovery partition, you would simply restore an Acronis backup.
