options available in home 2009 vs home 2011
Hello,
I have Acronis True Image Home 2009 installed on my laptop and have been using for awhile now and love it. So I just purchased and installed the 2011 version on an older desktop pc on which I was originally using the Seagate Disc Wizard to create my backups. (I wanted to be able to have the other options that are available on Acronis True Image Home that are not available with the free Seagate Disc Wizard version).
Anyway, I immediately noticed that the start up screen when you open the 2011 version is very different than the home 2009 version. I really did like the simplicity of all of different options being available when I opened up the program.
What would you like to do?
Back Up Manage and Restore Task Management
More Features:
System Information One Click Protection Protection Tools Cleanup Utilities
Search Help
And on the left side the list of
Home
Backup and Restore
Tasks and Logs
Protection State
Try and Decide
Utilities
Search.
Where to do I find all of these items in the True Image Home 2011 version.
I really liked the option of selecting the Back Up from the What would you like to do and then getting a page with Data to Back Up Selection and being able to select
My Computer
My Data
System State
My E-Mail
My Application Settings
As well as the Backup Wizard screen that then pops up after selecting one of the above and being able to select / go through all the optional steps.
How do I get to the Backup Wizard screen so that I can go through all those steps like I can now do on the pc running True Image Home 2009? Ia there a Backup Wizard in the True Image Home 2011 (like in the 2009 version)?
Thanks So Very Much

you can get the manual for ati2011 and older versions here:

Thanks for that information. I guess I will just have to get use to the newer version. I did find and download the manual but just haven't had a chance to go through the whole thing yet. I didn't realize that the system state was a useless backup and that I could no longer backup the application settings. Heck, the free version of Acronis True Image WD edition would backup the entire program for use if needed to restore the computer to a new drive and I never used the partition backup so I guess I'm missing something in regards to why purchasing the product (2011 version) is any better than using the True Image WD edition or Seagate Disk Manager which is what I was using before the Seagate Hard Drive died and was replaced with the WD Hard Drive.
Thanks for the help!
