Ti2011 and Restore

Thread needs solution

Because I don't understand the manual.

I install TI Home 2011 and create the rescue cd.
I make a backup using the windowspart of 2011.
System crashes.
I rstore from my image using the rescue cd.
Is that right?
Sorry but i am not sure.

That's the generally recommended method. Note that it's also recommended to boot to the rescue CD and make sure TI can see the drives correctly and successfully validate the backup image. If there's a problem it's better to find out before there's an emergency.

Thanks. Next time i'll try to organize more brain when reading instructions ;-)

Also remember that you need a disk and partition backup (a file backup will not do, a partition mode non-stop-backup might offer only partial protection). That backup needs to include all the partitions that you see on your system disk when you use windows disk management (C:\Windows\System32\compmgmt.msc), including the partition(s):
- marked active,
- identified as diagnostics, recovery, OEM, etc. partition
- called system reserved if any,
- containing OS or applications.
