Error occurred while opening the file - disc is full

Been successfully using Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 for awhile now, but recently the backups used up all the space on our storage node. Now whenever I try to visit the Disk archives in the Centralized Vault to try to delete some backups and clear up some space I simply receive "Error occurred while opening the file." If I visit the backup drive through Windows Explorer I can see that it is completely full. Are there files I can delete to get the connection to work again, or some other way through Acronis to get the connection to work again, so that I don't have to lose all of these backups? Thanks.

An update to our problem. I manually deleted some files on the backup drive that looked to be associated with a particular computer backup we didn't need anymore (I know this is probably not recommended). With this cleared space the management console still gave me an "Error occurred while opening the file" error but the following day it successfully ran the Daily backups under our GFS policy, however the GFS Cleanup Task still failed. But today I can view the vault contents without receiving the previous error, and I just successfully deleted an old backup whereas before I was getting "vault is corrupted" and "failed to delete backup" errors.
