Error "ATI Home has not found any hard disc drive": Why?

Thread needs solution

I booted my computer with three partitions with ATI Home 2011 v14 from BootCD.
On one of them is my Win7 64bit Pro installation.

But unfortunately ATI tells me "ATI Home has not found any hard disc drive".

Hmm, whats that?

I can boot successfully my Win7.
I have no extraordniary hardware: Just Asus Mobo with core i5 system.
4 GB RAM and a 750 GB SATA hard disc

So why does ATI Home not find the hard disc?

Is it because the MBR is not on the Win7 partition but on the separate 100 MB boot partition (as it is usual since Win7) ?

Launch the windows disk management console (search for computer management), in the menu bar, click on view, top, choose disk view. Post the screenshot of that view.

It's likely that the CD doesn't contain the drivers needed to communicate with the controller.

Are you using the latest build of TI 2011 (6942)? If not, try it and see if it works better.
