Thanks . I will give that a try but I'm curious if it can still be done within the software ? Thanks

Oh ... I try to look into msconfig and I did notice a few things for ATI but none mention or show about the online backup ... This online backup feature is causing my system some minor problems which I wish not to have at all ...

you may have to drag the bar along so you can see the entire command, im using version 2011 but it was there for sure as i turned it off myself. like i said look at all the Acronis entries but make sure you see the whole command line, one of them says something along the lines of Acronis online backup service.

If you don't set it up (i.e., don't subscribe and don't "Log in to Your Account", or log out if currently logged in) it doesn't actually do anything, although the initial TIH 2012 release does seem to use some background resources (open a lot of file handles, etc.) for purposes that aren't entirely clear and tranparent to the end user. I'm informed that some of that "background noise" may be corrected whenever we can get and install the promised bug fix #1 at long last.

Richard ... True enough their are many bugs need to be fixed , though for the most part I'm still happy with ATI . It's doing what I really want it to do . As for the online backup I haven't subscribe or log into an account . Though I keep getting errors towards it when ever I finish a recovery backup . Again the recovery process is working and that what I really care about ... Also when ever I would reboot or shut down my comp from afterwards doing a recovery I see a ATI pop up window about closing the service, so something with ATI is staying active while I am not using the software .
Pete ... I will give another deeper look into to it , thanks

If you don't use the Acronis SyncAgent service, you could try disabling that as it appears to have some automated relationships with their online services accounts. You'll find the Acronis SyncAgent included under the Windows Management Interface (WMI) services listings. For Win7, that's Administrative Tools -> Computer Management, or right-click My Computer and select Manage.

Thanks ... That so far I believe did the trick ... I disable all 3 ATI services . I'm a sucker for punishment when it comes to getting the latest version of ATI . I'm still using xp because simply put it I don't like W7 . I have W7 but I don't use it . To bad ATI doesn't have a wish list room for their products .... I know for myself as a basic home users . I have no need for most of those extra feature . ATI is reminding me of another company that I find now I don't care for ( Symantec.) When Pete Norton had it , it was great than symantec took over it and started adding all these extra crap features to it which it became a resource hog ... I hope ATI doesn't take the same steps ... ATI if your listening please go back to being a backup image software company and forget about adding all these extra features which I believe most user's don't care to have or use . Or maybe create a simple home user backup image software only and have what you have now for business type folks or whom ever finds the need for this type of software
