Use Revo Uninstaller Pro...don't bother with the TIH cleanup application

Thread needs solution

Seriously, save yourself some grief. If you can't install TIH because of the typical issues like it says you already have Acronis products installed, or if you used the cleanup program from Acronis and it didn't get you your USB devices back, you need Revo.

Just run Revo. Do a force uninstall. In the new dialog box that appears, just put in the word "Acronis" in the 'Program's Exact Name' field, and then ok. Let Revo run the Acronis uninstaller for you. When it finishes, do the scan and then 'select all' button on the scan results, and delete.

Reboot afterwards, and all of your install and USB problems should be fixed. From then on, always do any Acronis install as a monitored installation by Revo. Just download the TIH installer, right click it and choose the Revo monitored installation context choice. Revo will then monitor every byte changed during the install. This will make the eventual uninstall 100% thorough.

It's a shame that Acronis uninstall just doesn't do the job, but it is what it is. Revo found over 280 registry keys left over from TIH 2010, 2011, and 2012, as well as other Acronis products I have used over the years.

Hope this is helpful

I agree. I've been using Revo uninstaller for years and it works every time. I used it to get rid of TIH2012 and went back to 2010 with no problems. It does a great job of completely removing any program(s) you want to get rid of.
