Error 0x80070571

Thread needs solution

I'm using DD 10, and have tried to make a bootable CD that includes the RAID drivers. I followed the instructions in the Knowledge Base, article 1637: Acronis Linux Report

"Please boot your computer from Acronis Bootable Rescue disc and press F11 key after the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears and you get to the selection screen of the program. After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the word "quiet", click on the "OK" button. Choose the Full version item to boot. Wait for # prompt to appear. Please insert a diskette into a floppy disk drive and issue the following commands:

cd tmp
mkdir mntdir
mount /devfs/floppy/0 mntdir
sysinfo > mntdir/sysinfo.txt
umount mntdir

Send us the sysinfo.txt file from the diskette."

I got error messages after every entry, but thougt they would be harmless (otherwise there should have been warnings in the instructions, shouldn't it?!)

Result:
No sysinfo.txt file created on the diskette, and the C-drive totally lost.

However, I could boot from a CD containing Win-PE, and got this error message when trying to access the C-drive:

Error 0x80070571
Disk structure corrupted or unreadable.

Any suggestions?

Does the computer have a floppy drive? If not, you probably should be using the flash drive instructions that are linked on that page.

What error messages were you getting? If the device didn't mount you wouldn't be able to save the report there.

Were there any problems with the C: partition before trying to save the System Report?

Do you have a current backup image of the C: partition?

Is C: on the RAID setup?

I assume that DD is seeing the RAID as separate drives. If this is the case and any changes were made to any of the RAID drives they could be corrupted.
