Subscription issues
I just purchsaed the 2012 backup software on September 04, 2011. I registered the product and it's been working fine for nightly backups but as of today I'm getting a message "Your subscription has expired. Please update your subscription to be able to perform the selected operation." When I go online for tech support it also states that my support subcription is expired.
What's going on?

No, I don't subscribe to the online backup just local to a external USB hard drive, but.......
Here's what is happening as of now
I setup a backup routine in September that does a full backup and then a differential backup for 5 days then it repeats itself. I have it keep two of these backup routines then it wipes the older one and starts again. I never signed up for either the trial or full online backup and at this time have no interest in doing that.
Everything was working great until last night. My backup is setup to start at 11:00pm and the differential backup usually takes about 2 hours to complete. I woke up around 3:00am and it was "stuck" at calculating. I looked at the log and that's were I'm getting the message I posted "Your subscription has expired. Please update your subscription to be able to perform the selected operation". I stopped the backup and started it again and it did actually perfom the backup. But it took twice as long as normal (it was just completed about 20 minutes ago). I looked at the logs and after the log showing the differential backup was complete there are two additional log files back to back with the same message about the subscription has expired.
If this message has to do with a service I never subscribed to nor want at this time (online backup) is there a way I can get rid of this option?
Again I never had an issue until last night. I did recently update the software because the message was on the application that there is a new version.

I did forget to mention that I also do a “sync” backup on my document folder to the same external USB hard drive I do my system backups on. I believe I jumped the gun on the full / differential backup being the problem. I think maybe that just glitched on me last night. I'm thinking the real problem is my sync backup.
After reviewing another post on this board “25521: Request to extend ATIH 2012 support to 30 days after the first update” I see a thread from a Alain of Acronis dated today 11/17/11 stating;
“Last but not least, regarding the sync, I want to clarify a couple of things. We do offer 3 ways to do synchronization: a) Synchronization between a computer and a locally attached device, b) synchronization between 2 or more computers c) synchronization between 2 or more computers and storage of the data (with versioning) in Acronis Online storage. We do require internet logging for all 3. It is definitely arguable that this is not needed for the first one and we did it mostly because this would keep the UI simple. This is something we will likely revisit.”
Everything was working fine unitl I updated to the latest update a few days ago and now I'm getting logs files stating Your subscription has expired. Please update your subscription to be able to perform the selected operation followed by several failed to create default sync message in the same log.
I'm a newbee in this but I believe the error I'm getting in the log files has to do with my syncing the document files from my local hard drive to my external hard drive. Which again was working fine until I updated and should be working without the need for a "online subscription"

I'll run some sync tests on my machine and see what happens.
The sync 'subscription' is different to the OLB one, or it was, might be a better way of putting it.

I just checked my logs and I have eight log files from 7:20am until 4:20pm all with the same error that I listed in previous post. The actual syncing seems to be working fine. I updated several files through out the day and it synced them with no issue.

Same problem here. I only do local nightly backups to a NAS, no on-line backups, no syncs, yet since the software update I've been receiving error messages that my subscription ran out and the backup cannot be completed.
