Can Trial edition of Advanced Workstation 11 do restore from network?

Thread needs solution

I have a client that uses an OeM version of acronis 10 for backups and restores. THey have a laptop that died and a new hard drive had to put in.

I am trying to restore the image but i am not on site. I have connected to another computer on the same subnet and set up a PxE boot image of Advanced workstation 11. THe laptop boots the image and I can remotely connect using the management console. When I try the restore though I get the following error;

i have tried contacting technical support to see if this is a license issue, but they were worthless (40 minute wait for a chat session!)

Can someone tell me if this is a license issue? If I buy the full Adv workstation license, will the restore actually work?

Trial media should be able to restore. The license could be lost during setting up the pxe boot

Hello all,

Thank you for your posts and your kind help dev-anon.

Kurt, we are currently working on this issue and we are really sorry about your experience with our Support team. I have forwarded your feedback to our Management team.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

THank you for the reply. How can I verify if the problem is with the license not being included in the pxe boot image? Is there a way to manaully add the license to the boot image?

You can disregard my first reply, now the second one - when you created the bootable media, did you install only 'Bootable Media Builder' component on that machine, without 'Agent for Windows' ? If yes, I'd try to modify the installation (i.e. run installer, select 'modify') to install 'agent for windows' (with agent core) too, and then recreate bootable media.
