Automatic Backup Validation Failed?

Thread needs solution

I have ATI 2012, Build 6131 on Win7. I created a scheduled Version Scheme. It launched automatically and completed the image successfully. I had set it to "Validate the Backup when it is created". The Backup List did not indicate a validation had launched. There was no log shown in the Backup List for this backup. I was able to successfully launch and complete a validation manually the next day. When I opened the log created from the manual launch it showed the previous day's activities in addition to the current day's.

I've copied an excerpt from the previous day's activity on that backup.

Does the excerpt tell me that ATI had launched and successfully completed the validation?

If so, why didn't ATI create the log then and display it in the Backup List?

If not, why did it not launch automatically, per my settings?

Is there a resolution?

Below is the excerpt from my log:
"Updating backup database:
Removing verification requirement for database access.

Validate Backup Archive
Location:
"L:\My backups\Images\12-16-11 Start\Version Scheme\C Drive\My_C_Drive_partitions1.tib"

Pending operation 3 started: 'Validate Backup Archive'.

Updating backup database:
Inserting new backup version creation information into backup with ID 5502707749028874408.

Operation has succeeded."

Your posting indicates a successful validation. You should have a similar explanation in the log file. I note that you did not find a log for that backup but you should recheck. In you click on the log link in upper right corner of the program screen, it should list all your logs and you can choose based on the time the backup started--not when finished.

I see. The little gear in the upper right corner of each backup gives me the option to view the Log, amongst other things. I had been only looking for it to appear at the bottom of the backup's entry where it gives you that green bar stating "The backup is Valid". That green bar was not there after the automatic backup and validation but it did show up after I did the manual validation. I guess each validation operation does not always show up in the green bar below.

Thank you, Grover!
