TIH 2010 Win 7 Compatibility - Need an Update

Thread needs solution

I currently have True Image Home 2010 which I use on two pcs: one with Vista 64 and the other with Win XP Pro. I have purchased a new pc running Win 7 Home Premium. I have reviewed a number of posts on this forum re: compatibility of versions of TI with different versions of Windows. Will TIH 2010 work with all of these different versions of Windows? Are there any issues I might run into in doing backups and restores? Especially with my new Win 7 Home Premium pc. Need a current update on this. Thanks.

Cerk,

Windows7 is fully support by 2010, the latest builds. As usual with imaging software, hardware issues might arise, so you have to test it on the specific machine, in particular, test the recovery CD.

Thanks. What is the best way to test the recovery CD without doing a complete restore yet still being convinced that the complete restore will work if you need to do it?

Cerk,

Boot your computer on it and, instead of restoring "Disk and partitions", choose to restore "Selected files and folders" or whatever the working is. Then restore a couple of files. If that works, you are in good shape. That said, you don't know for sure unless you actually do a restore as other things come into play at the disk/partition level.
