Acronis Universal Restore

Thread needs solution

When we purchased Acronis Backup 11 for Windows Server a few years ago.  We've received a couple of updates.  The latest update gave us version 11.7.  We didn't purchase or have license for Acronis Universal Restore addon.  Reading the document, it says that version 11.7 has Acronis Universal Restore built.  How do we confirm it?  Can we use Acronis Backup 11.7 for Windows Server to restore to a Hyper-V Windows server 2008 R2?  Thanks!

Hello tkk,

Thank you for your posting! Acronis Universal Restore is included in all Acronis Backup and Acronis Backup Advanced porudcts starting with the build 38350. In order to restore the system image to the different machine, boot it with the bootable media and then perform restore. If you are willing to restore the image to the virtual machine on the Hyper-V host, you can do it either under the bootable media like with the physical machine or with the help of convertion. Here you can find additional information on conversion methods.

Thank you,
