Backup fails if tape is ful

Thread needs solution

I save some files to tape drive.
Sometimes if it takes more then one tape I get message "please change tape and click continue...".
But backup always fails then.
May be that's an time out problem?
Does anyone have the same problem?

Hello, thanks for reporting the problem. It definitely should continue backup to the new media without fails.
Could you clarify the build number? Does you tape device connected to Acronis Storage Node (backup to Centralized Vault) or it is connected to a machine with Agent? Our QA team will check it.

I have updated to version 11.5.43994 but the same problem.
Error always apperrs after changing tape.
I put logfile to attachment.
How to find out if tape if connected to Storage Node or Agent?

Hi, it is difficult to determine the problem from this log. Please contact Acronis support for investigation.
PS: tape device can be attached...:
1. ...to a machine where Acronis Storage Node installed and you perform backups to Centralized managed tape-based vault.
2. ...directly to backed up machine where Agent for Windows (or Linux) is installed.

if anybody have the same problem here is solution:
- don't use backup option overwrite tape
and
- delete tape before using or move tape to free tape pool
