Device Type Mismatch for Tape Backup

Hello-
First time writing in here. I run Centos 6.5, acronis 11.5, and run a Dell PV124T tape drive autoloader.

Let me say that when this setup works, it works fine. But I randomly start getting these errors and being a production server, it takes a while to get a maintenance window to fix it.

For example, I started getting the below error while trying to do a simple backup of two directories. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Acronis Backup (has worked for me in the past) but this time i can't figure it out. Any ideas?
