I am consistently getting the error below when backing up my domain controllers. The backup does complete but with a warning.

First check that your system work with MS VSS.
Check that you have minimum 20% of free disk space on every drive you want to backup.
If the VSS fail again, try to delete the Snapshot and recreate it with a larger size.
If still it is not working, do not use the VSS, and do the backup during the time the users are not working with the computers.
You can always use the SECTOR-by-SECTOR backup... :-)

BTW- this can also indicate an error of hard disk.
