multiple backup software installs - problems?

Will it cause problems having multiple backup solutions installed at the same time?

Reason I ask is because I have been using Backup Assist for several months and it worked well at first, nut as my backup requirements increased it became no long fit for purpose.

So I started trialling Acronis ABR11.5 which also worked well (with Backup Assist still installed) for a few days then started giving me problems, today I have uninstalled Backup Assist, rebooted and am giving Acronis one more try.

well my manual backup worked fine today, ran from 08:509 to 16:07 - let's see how the scheduled one runs tonight...

Thank you for testing Acronis software.

We recommend not using backup software along Acronis backup product. The reason is usage of our snapshot driver. Other backup products might work with a similar snapshot driver that can conflict.
