Problem recovering from differential backup - please help

Thread needs solution

I wonder if someone can assist me with this problem I am having with a differential backup created with Acronis 11.5 ?

I have a full backup that was created in July 2013. A differential backup is then taken every night.

I need to completely restore my system and I am wanting to use the last differential backup to do this which was taken on the 21/02/14

When I try to do this from the Acronis Boot Media CD I have created I get to 15% progress and then an error comes up telling me the backup file cant be read. I have tried a number of other differential backups I have and the same thing happens.

When I try to restore from the full backup which was taken in July 2013, there is no problem and the system restores to this time. The issue obviously with that is that all my data is 6 months or so out of date and ideally I need the data from last weeks differential backup.

Any ideas ? I thought having a full backup and then any subsequent differential backup would allow me to restore in the way that I am describing.

Your help would be appreciated, and thank you in advance.

I think that one if the DIFF file is corrupted.
I am fully backup the drive every 2 or 3 diff backup and after no more then 14 INC backup, just to be on the safe side.

PS- check the backup version and the restore boot media version (it should be the same)
