[RESOLVED] AB&R 11.5 Workstation - Windows 8 - Is this ever going to be done?
I have been reading, following the notes, information, beta and everything that Acronis is published about this. It says it is "planned", has been for a very long time.
Is this ever going to be completed, will I have to buy a new version to get this done?

Build #37608 was released yesterday and I just installed it... runs ok in Windows 8 64-Bit.
My only observation is that you should uninstall your previous build and then install build #37608 fresh. I first tried doing an upgrade, and then a modify of the previous version and they errored while installing the agent core. It is late AM so forgive me that I didn't write the error message...
I just thought I would write this quick note while my first backup completes...

I too downloaded Build #37608, but on my version of Windows 8 Pro 64-bit I get this message:
This app can't run on your PC
To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.
I've tried running as Administrator. I've downloaded the program from different connections to make sure my file wasn't corrupt. I don't have a previous version of Acronis on this machine. It's a fresh install. Any suggestions?

I suggest running a MD5 checksum test of the downloaded installation file. You can find the tool and instructions in this article from our knowledge base.
If the MD5 checksum is correct and the setup fails again with this message, please
- create a screenshot of this message and
- create a system report of your machine;
and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I was able to try one more download on a different connection. My previous files must have been corrupted somehow as this time the install proceeded and I was able to setup the software.

Just happened to check the site today and saw that this update was finally here. I did a new install on Win 8 Pro and it installed and backed up correctly.
I do have one question, it was called "update 1", is there something that still needs to be completed? I have read all the notes and information on this, I have not done a "bare metal restore" yet to finalize testing of this. Is there something else that needs to be done?

Thank you for your reply.
Every 'Update' of Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 contains all components and is a complete installation package. You do not need to pre-install or install afterwards any other component. So if your Product runs well, everything is ok.
If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.
