WD A/F drives ... also exfat support

Thread needs solution

Hey,
Just to reassure myself, does 11.5 update 3 support WD's advanced format drives on se7en x64(sp1)?
Could I restore an existing 512k format image to a 4096k (or whatever the number is) format disk and run the Acronis WD align tool after re-imaging or would the OS need to be installed on the advanced format disk before being imaged? I not sure of the capabilities of the Acronis alignment tool.

Also, does 11.5 update 3 support exfat partitions?

thanks for any enlightenment

Hi michael clyde,
Acronis Backup 11.5 (including Update 3) can back up hard disks with a sector size of 4 KB (known as Advanced Format disks), as well as traditional hard disks that have 512-byte sectors.
Acronis Backup can recover data from one disk to another as long as both disks have the same logical sector size. (This is the sector size presented to the operating system.) Acronis Backup automatically aligns the disk’s volumes if necessary. This way, the start of a cluster in the file system always matches the start of a physical sector on the disk.

This article also tells how to determine the logical sector size.
Regarding exfat, I do not have much information. It is not included in the official list of supported FS:
