Windows 8 and Managed Machine Service not running

Thread needs solution

I know that Windows 8 is unsupported, but I want to know if there is some temporary workaround to start and leave Managed Machine Service working. I cannot use this product on my upgraded PC.
EDIT: found!
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MMS
I removed the entry for "Protected Storage".

There is a registry entry that can be changed come to think of it, and Acronis have a reply posted somewhere on this forum as what needs to be changed.

I'll have to hunt it down.

Mounting won't work properly and i think there was something else I found dodgy. The good news is that the build that is in beta at the moment is W8 compliant.

I must make a note of that in my shortcuts.

Thanks

Greetings.

Had a problem with the Windows 8 user profile after changing the Registry as suggested. Really appreciate your feedback regarding new updates in order to use the software licenses we purchased.

Thanks in advance,
