Windows server 2012 R2 Wouldnt boot after installing Acronis Backup 11.7 trial

Thread needs solution

I want to trial Acronis Backup 11.7, but i installed it on my Windows Server 2012 R2 server and it all installed and worked fine.  But when i rebooted windows wouldnt come back up, i get stuck on the windows logo, I had to use Last known good config to get back in which removes the Acronis services.  I tried a reinstall again but when i rebooted the same thing happened again.

Id love to try this product and it would most likely lead to a purchase but i cant get the trial to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks

JK

The issue doesn't look like the one that can be solved on the forum. I'd contact the Acronis support. Trial version is supported for 30 days after registration.

OK i contacted support today, they deleted Acronis folders from Prog files & prog data.

Ive yet to try Acronis again yet but i will try as soon as i can install and reboot without interupting users.

I am not convinced this will solve the issue but I will try, What logs could i look at seeing as its locking up pre windows?

Thanks

If it hangs again, probably, the following disgnostic information will be required -

*system info after product is installed:
https://kb.acronis.com/content/36248
or by running C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\AdvReport\systeminfo.exe

*Windows full dump - like described in https://kb.acronis.com/content/17639 , but, as it doesn't BSOD, you will need to trigger crash manually as described in
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/askpfeplat/2015/04/05/how-to-force-…

If you installed a previous version before, then (just guessing) it's possible there is a conflict of kernel drivers -
check that there are no Acronis drivers mentioned in UpperFilters and LowerFilters as described in
https://kb.acronis.com/content/35521
