Acronis Backup 11.7 Online backup size growing daily

Thread needs solution

We have Acronis Backup 11.7 installed on a Server 2016 Dell PowerEdge R530. There are two backup plans.. One is a daily local backup that backs up the data partition of this server to a local NAS box.. The other backup plan is an online backup plan that backs up the same data to the Acronis cloud (the subscription for this is called "Acronis Backup for AnyServer to Cloud"). We have purchased 1.5TB of online storage space for this backup. Every day the backups are scheduled to run at 5:45pm EST (for the local backup) and 12:00am EST (for the online backup). The online backup is setup to delete any incremntal backups older than 14 days and keeps one full backup at all times. There have been no issues with the local NAS backup. The issue is only with the online backup. The issue is that every time this backup runs every night at midnight, the storage quota keeps decreasing significantly each night. We are quickly running out of online storage space because of this. There is no significant amount of new files/data being added to this system to explain the large daily decrease in storage space.. We have cleared some older files from the system recently, and still the backup size continues to grow daily.

Can someone offer some insight to this issue? I would be willing to provide any information you would need or answer any questions you may have if it would help resolve our problem.

Thanks!

Hi Ron,

Such issues should be investigated with help from our support team who can check the cloud storage used under your account and see what consumes excessive space in order to figure out what might be wrong. Please contact our support team - remember to capture system report from the backed up system beforehand (it will show the historical data of the backup activities): https://kb.acronis.com/content/36248

Thank you.
