Backup failed message but nackup seems to complete

Thread needs solution

Hi there,

 

I'm currently looking after things in the office while most of the staff are off. We use backup 11.7 on one of our VM's and it backs up the VM to the physical machine. When running currently I'm getting the following error log;

It's showing as the backup failing however in the destination location there is a backup file saved (and it looks like its the correct size) so I'm not sure if thebackup has indeed failed or if it's fine and this is just a random error message but the date itself isn't affected.

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for sharing this error log.

You see a new backup file in the first backup location because it has been successfully created but the error occurred at the next step - replication. Your activity log indicates that the second location (for replication) can not be accessed from the Agent (machine) which sent this error message. Most probably, it is ECN-SAGE1000.

Please check whether this secondary location for replication can be physically accessed from the Agent which runs the backup. If it is, then please Refresh it. Please find a replication destination in Replication and retention settings of a backup plan "Nightly Backup of ECN-SAGE1000".

Thank you for your reply. I've checked and it didn't have the box ticked for replication, I've now selected this and set it to replicate to a NAS in a different building. It's running now so I'll check back again once it's complete to see if it sorts out the error.
