Backup fails with error code 7: Cannot check the license key.

Thread needs solution

I've ran all updates available that I can find, but i can't get a backup to run. Backups were running fine until i tried to change an existing job and now all jobs are failing with the same error. I just ran a reinstall and still have the same issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Log file attached

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you. 

Please follow this article from our knowledge base to solve this issue. Additionally you can set a Windows registry value on the machine, where the Acronis Management Server or Acronis License Server is running.

  1. Open Registry Editor: go to Start -> Run, here type regedit and press OK.
  2. Locate the following registry key:

    Windows 32 bit:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\MMS\Configuration\License

  3. Modify the subkey LicenseServerAddress, type in the IP address of License Server and press OK.
