Failed to open archive
Hi experts,
I get the error message "Failed to open the archive" in the "Where to recover" section when I'm trying to restore a backup.
I've created a backup of a Win7 node that now resides in a centralized vault. I'd like to try to restore this backup.
I have inserted the recovery media, entered network settings so that Acronis Bootable Agent is running successfully. When clicking Recover I'm further able to find the backup in the vault by browsing the data path in "Select data...".
When I do this, I get the error message "Failed to open the archive" in the "Where to recover" section.
Code: 9,764,870,(0x00950006)
LineInfo: 0x3F1F68EF07E399DE;
Module: disk_bundle_glx_pic_32308
Message: Failed to open the archive.
What can cause this problem? Please let me know if any additional information is needed. Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Tor Marius

Yes, I've tried to make a recovery CD from the management server as well. Unfortunately, with the exact same result. Please Let me know if anybody has the solution to this. It is very much appreciated.

Does the same archive opens normally in agent installed in windows? Do you select the data to recover in catalog ('data view') or in archive view ( check the other way works) ? Just in case, if the vault is centralized managed, you need to connect to the storage node (using bsp:// prefix) and not browse to the actual storage.

Thank you for valuable input. The archive actually seems to open normally in agent installed in windows.
On the "Recover Data" page, I select "Select data..." under the "What to recover" heading. I've also tried to open the archive by clicking "Required" under the same heading. I'm able to browse to the centralized vault where the backups reside, but I'm not able to open the archive itself. I've used the prefix bsp:// every time when I've connected to the storage node.
Unfortunately, I'm on a remote site now so I cannot boot from the recovery CD via RDP. I need to check the difference between 'data view' and 'archive view' while I'm at the system, since I'm at the moment cannot confirm whether I've tested both ways or not.
