Full and Incrementals (logs) are the same large size

This is Acronis 11.7 running on SBS 2011.

A full Exchange IS is about 260GBs....and so are the daily incrementals!!!???

I was hoping it would backup just the changes...

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Cyber Dude,

An incremental backup for Exchange IS is called "Transaction log", it contains the history of changes made to the database. Only after a change has been securely logged, it is then written to the database file.

It should not be as big as the full backup and will only contain changes. You can find additional information about Exchange backup schemes here.

If for some reason, the transaction logs are as big as the initial backup, please contact our Support Team for the investigation of a problem.
