Problems to start manual and scheduled Backups Tasks

Thread needs solution

Hello together,

I'm using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 on a Windows 2003 Server.

Since some weeks i can't start any manual and scheduled backup tasks with my Acronis Software.

I get this Eventlog sorry it's in German:

Ereignistyp:        Fehler

Ereignisquelle:  Acronis Scheduler

Ereigniskategorie:           Keine

Ereigniskennung:            1

Datum:                15.11.2016

Zeit:                      21:03:38

Beschreibung:

Is there somebody with an idea?

Thanks a lot

Zoran

Hi Zoran,

it looks like some Acronis components cannot find Windows Registry entries. You can try to reinstall the Agent, it will detect the currently installes components and offers to repair.

It looks like https://kb.acronis.com/content/14932 , try to add Acronis folders to exclusions in security programs, and recreate backup tasks by editing backup plans and changind somethig, e.g. schedule slightly.

Hello together,

Thank you for your answers.

1. I deactivated my avira antivirus but nothing changed. same problem

2. I tried to create execute a manuel backup job not a scheduled backup job. same problem

3. I delete three tasks in the acronis schedmgr that ID comes in the windows eventlog. same problem

Should i delete all tasks that are visible in the AcronisSchedmgr.exe?!?

see the picture...

Thanks a lot

Zoran

Hello Zoran,

I'd recommend starting from scratch:

1. Remove all tasks using task zap command
2. Uninstall the software from your system
3. Reinstall the software with temporarily disabled anti-virus
4. Make sure all Acronis services are running under accounts with sufficient privileges (Local System for Acronis Scheduler2 Service)
5. Add Acronis folders and executables to the list of exclusions in Avira (do not disable anti-virus, but configure list of exclusions). These articles will give you more information:

6. Create new plan and test it

Detailed information on troubleshooting scheduled backup issues can be found here.

Thank you,

Having the same problems.  It seems that I have to run the backup plan manually twice for it to actually start.  2 tasks are actually running in the background.  This software has so many bugs and it's really annoying.

Hello Reynaldo,

what product version is used here? Acronis Backup 11.7 or Acronis Backup 12.5?
